: Line Dribbling

4 v 4 Line Ball Game

  • One Pitch Organiser on the side line
  • The players either dribble or kick the ball into play
  • The team scores a goal when they dribble the ball over the other teams end line

General rules

  • Pitch 40 x 20 yards depending if it is 4v4, 5v5 or 6v6
  • Play time 10 min
  • Plenty of balls
  • Kids referee themselves
  • If there are more than eight players available try to fit in the other players e.g. 5v5 or 5v6
  • Keep the score visible to the children, e.g. put up a cone on their side when they score
  • Pitch Organisers must be enthusiastic and not criticise the children, remember it is their game

Alternative

  • Use the width instead of the length as the end line (landscape style)
  • A team can only score when all the players are over the half way line
